A beautiful trip to the nearby Kokšu forest lakes (about 12-18 km long route). Kokšu lakes nature trail consists of Dibena, Dziļais, Zāļu and Leišu lakes. At each lake there are well-equipped rest areas with a fire place, table and benches, swimming areas. The nature trail of the Kokšu lakes is located in a specially protected natural area “Ziemeļgauja”. In the 16 information stands located along the trail, you can find information about specially protected natural areas and natural resources – forest and water habitats, habitats of various species, birds and animals. There are forest paths around each lake.
